Hey guys!
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, the days have been busy lately. Lots of jamming with my "band" and too much marching band practices... Don't even get me started...
SO WHAT DOES MSBOA MEAN CHRISTOPHER?!? Well I'll tell you! MSBOA stands for Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association. We're gonna focus on the Band part.
Every year, bands from all over Michigan participate in the MSBOA competitions. Both marching band, and concert band. In these competitions, there are many subjects in which your band is rated on (musicianship, marching style, blah blah blah). You can get from A's to E's. After all of those A's to E's, you get a number from one to five. 1 being the best, and 5 being the worst.
West Catholic High School (where I attend), has only ever received a 1 rating three times in its history. This year, we turned that three into a four. WOOO GO BAND. Here's a video of our entire half time show, in which we got a 1 RATING.
